There's a chill in the air...
The inevitable has happened. Following the celebrations of June and July, comes the fair. Usually the weather is terrible and from then on we watch the demise of summer. This year the fair weather was 'fair' and it has only been in the past couple of weeks when we feel the change that brings an end to summer magic. The leaves are falling, the flowers are losing their brilliance, and there are only a few weeks left until the Wednesday and Saturday markets close for the winter season. This means that we are focusing on closing up the outdoor campus and preparing the winter snow removal tools. The outdoor faucets get turned off and the windows and doors are made ready for the cold season ahead. Many say we are due to have a long extended fall. That would be welcome, because no matter what the fall brings, there is no doubt that it will be followed quickly by our longest season.
Meal time is popular where the food is prepared with skill and love. Residents are helping each other, and ownership in living at Raven Landing is apparent by all of the volunteer hours that they are giving. We are a place of good will and mutual respect. We give thanks for Raven Landing each day.
p.s. The food is amazing...meals are $20 inclusive, OPEN to the PUBLIC.
Can't get a delicious farm to table meal for that anywhere!
