Raven Landing Senior Community – Fairbanks, Alaska

Raven Landing is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Executive Director to lead our vibrant independent living senior community.

Raven Landing is home to approximately 100 seniors (55+) who live independently while enjoying the connection of a supportive and active community. In addition to residential living, Raven Landing also operates a catering and events center and hosts a wide variety of community gatherings throughout the year.

We are looking for a leader who is:

  • Highly organized and adaptable

  • Passionate about working with elders

  • An excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills

  • Creative and able to think outside the box

  • Comfortable managing both community relationships and day-to-day operations

The Executive Director plays a key role in guiding Raven Landing’s mission, supporting residents and staff, and continuing to foster the welcoming, community-centered environment that makes Raven Landing such a special place.

Now Hiring: PT Administrative Assistant

Raven Landing is a dynamic residence and community center for Fairbanks seniors where diversity, security, healthy living, independence and mutual assistance are core values. The Receptionist serves at the core of our administrative team to ensure efficient, effective service to our residents and the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately

  • Answer email and phone inquiries, developing standardized responses where possible and directing emails/calls to other staff members as appropriate

  • Serve as a point of contact for residents, helping to minimize interruptions to the Accounting Manager and the General Manager (GM)

  • Assist the GM in maintaining RL website content

  • Schedule appointments for the GM

  • Update RL materials as needed

  • Develop and maintain effective organization of Raven Landing (RL) processes and materials

  • Timely data entry to ensure effective operations

  • Organize and undertake periodic limited term projects

Work hours & benefits:

  • Schedule to be negotiated: 20-30 hours within 8a – 5p Monday through Friday

  • $17 – 20/hour

  • Matching IRA up to 3% of earnings

Qualifications and skills

  • Must be skilled in MS Office, and comfortable learning new technologies as needed

  • Polite, diplomatic, clear communication in person, on the phone, and in writing

  • Ability to organize wide array of tasks in the midst of unscheduled calls and visits

  • Attention to detail and a desire for continuous improvement

  • Ability to self-direct and think independently while also being responsive to supervisor’s direction

  • Interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and personality types

  • Problem-solving mindset and can-do attitude

  • Discernment and sound judgment in complex or uncertain situations

 Raven Landing is a 95-unit apartment complex that serves Fairbanks's senior community.
